We keep on climbing, but we never find the top.

Groan. More vector art, and another picture that was already on my LJ. For shame. This is Olias, a character that may or may not be in CBM. I'm leaning towards "not."

Be a liar everywhere...SHUT UP!!! Don't cry!!

Whine!!! Where's my update?! Ok, here you go. A vector doodle that I did a little while ago. I'd like to post another picture in here, but I'm afraid it won't work. So come back tomorrow. ;p

I have just purchased the following Christmas presents to myself on Amazon:

1) Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 - Strangers From the Universe
2) TFUL282 - Bob Dinners & Larry Noodles Present Tubby Turdner's Celebrity Avalanche
3) Single Frame - Wetheads Come Running

I confess: I've had a burned copy of the Single Frame album for two and a half years. I am full of guilt. And I've had several songs from the two Thinking Fellers albums for longer than that. For some reason I always thought I would eventually stumble across Strangers From the Universe in an actual store. But it never happened, so I finally gave up...

Between the click of the light and the start of the dream...

Another picture that I apparently forgot to post anywhere. Well, it happens. This was my Christmas present to Paul last year. I think it's pretty swell. =9 And it was scanned at the photo place when I took it in to have a copy of it made, because I gave the original to Paul. So I'm guessing that means this is a "PERFECT" scan. Woot!! :D

Four six three, an X, an O, and I can't think of a better way to end the day.

Another practise page for CBM I finished quite a while ago. I'm very excited about the story now, which I may comment on later. For now...enjoy. I think this is much better than my last page. And I also think I should keep using those really thick lines for the word balloons as well as the panel borders. I don't know why, but it just looks so much better. In My Humble Opinion...

I also need to mention that the script for this page was written by Paul. Thanks, Paul!! *huggles*

Where's the cursor?! Where's the eraser?! G-0-H-0-H-0-9-0!!!

A smudgey layout that I drew for my water drop animation, again scanned at school. I have learned an important new word! It is "FOREGROUND!!!" YEAH!!! It works wonders!! DUH!!! How come I never use it?!

(That leftmost catttail is creating an ugly tangent with the top bit of ground, though...augh.)

The basement is where they wait, for the storm to break. Someone is lost outside, through the rain we hear them cry.

Hmmm. Why am I posting this? Only because it hasn't been posted before? Yeah, sure, works for me. It's not finished, obviously, but it was supposed to be an illustration of "God-Box" by the Fall, which is about televangelists. OR IS IT? *rolleyes* I was trying to do it as a Photoshop "painting." But I absolutely suck at real media painting, so it only stands to reason that I would suck at "digital" painting as well. Hmmm...I was fond of the concept, but not so fond of the way I drew it. When am I ever going to learn that I can't seem to draw directly onto the computer? :p I remember spending a long time on the TV. But you can't really tell, 'cause it still doesn't look the way I wanted.

What if we refuse to follow the rules of fashion?

Some dogs of indeterminate breeds that I drew a while ago. I guess the little grey one could be a terrier. That one is my favourite, it just has so much more personality than the other two. Sigh...

Believe in the stars like you believe in him, and cross your fingers that Einstein will win.

Dice Man!

I have failed to recall any lyrics from Dice Man. Today's quote instead comes to us from The Lapse, and I'm extremely saddened that those two haven't put out a record since 2001. (Or was it 2000, even?)

I scanned this at school on the SCSI scanner and it looks quite gorgeous. My very first scanner was a SCSI scanner, and it's still the best one I've ever used. Matter of fact, it still works. It's been chugging away for what must be going on 10 years now. (I just can't use it anymore because it's in Humboldt :( ) The company that made it doesn't even exist anymore, and the only copy of the drivers that we have are on an old floppy that makes funny noises every time we have to use it...oh, dear.

Btw, I believe this is the first picture I've tried colouring using watercolours as a base and pencil crayons overtop. Which was a HUGE help in getting that level of transparency. Fun! This was inspired by Pseudo Manitou and James Jean. I hope I can come even REMOTELY close to being as good as either of them someday.

"I testify to having guilty feelings. I must confess, I'd like to be caught stealing."

A cat that I drew for the Frenchkiss Records t-shirt contest. The trouble with me is that I only ever associate that label with Les Savy Fav, and in turn I heavily associate LSF with white cats, because of "The Cat & The Cobra." So...a white cat with a beret. I also don't understand how to use the template provided for this contest. It's so very, very tiny. Will I get disqualified for making it larger? :s

I don't think this drawing is really appropriate for a shirt, especially since I have to fit the logo in there somewhere. Oh well, it was worth a try, wasn't it?

The sun and the open sky fall down.

A few rather wonky sketches I made in class today. The one of Martin still looks better than most of my sketches these days.

I drew a sketch of Billy in a rugby uniform (?!) like that a while ago when I got my new blue pencils and I was testing them out, but I don't know where it is and I'm too lazy to look for it. So I just drew him wearing it again. The end.

The new blue pencils, btw, were Prismacolours, and up to that point I was using Sanfords, which I hated. The Prismacolours still don't behave exactly the way pencils should, but they're a welcome change from the Sanfords. I'm babbling...nobody cares.. XD

Ha ha...OH YEAH!! Kelly and Chris and I all had a Buffy party on Saturday night, meaning we all got together and watched about 4 episodes of Buffy. IT WAS AWESOME. It has totally rekindled my interest in Buffy and it even inspired me to WRITE SOMETHING (comicwise) once I got home. I've also been told that I have to buy season 4 after Christmas because Kelly is going to buy season 5 and Chris is going to buy season 6...or maybe it's the other way around...

Nothing else happened. The end.

Bored, bored, bored. Here's another bootleg cover. I have very little else to say at this time. I remember that I deliberately stained this picture with coffee (and I don't even drink coffee) which did little to change the colour of it, but did add some interesting texture (I stained it before colouring, not after). Other than coffee I see that it has my usual pencil crayon and felt-tip ink pens, plus some blue ballpoint as well. Yep... suuuure is interesting... *rolleyes*
