I heard it from a friend, the revolution never happened.

Page 2 of the comic, at last. I cannot BELIEVE how long it takes me to finish these. It NEVER used to take this long. And considering the entire comic could end up being in the realm of 150+ pages, I wonder just how long it's going to take me to finish! :O

Actually, I do have an excuse for why this one took so long: I needed more ellipse templates for the word balloons, and it took me a while to get ahold of them. But I did!

(Script by Paul again...I'm not sure I could be that cruel to one of my own characters. It's quite funny, though. Laugh at his pain!)

What does that say about me? I just don't know. Without sunshine and rain, the grass won't grow.

I'm pretty sure I haven't posted this yet. Another sketch crawl drawing, from the same week as the last one I posted, meaning this drawing is getting pretty stinkin' old. Oh well. It's nice, at least. The character on the right was, as you can see, actually drawn by Gord on the whiteboard. I just copied him into my book. Gord has several blogs of his own, which I would link to, but wouldn't you know it...I can't remember a SINGLE one of the URLs. Aaack!!

We've been sleeping with our shoes on for much too long.

When I posted this, I was going to say something like "This picture proves that I should probably never be allowed near a tablet or Photoshop again, ever," because I thought it looked so godawful, but I coloured it on my laptop and it actually looks slightly better on this monitor. So, um, yay?

Unfortunately, I started it months and months and FUCKING MONTHS ago. It's one of the first drawings in volume 5 of my sketchbook, and as I mentioned below, I'm now on volume 6. I never finish drawings anymore... (y'see, I inked it in Illustrator and that takes ages to do...that's really no excuse though...) But oh well! At least I finally finished it!!

I watched Eraserhead for the first time today. Whoa! If I say this is THE weirdest film I've ever seen, is that only further proof of just how few films I've seen? Never mind. I liked it, although I can't say exactly what it is that I like.... It's obviously open to interpretation, for starters. I have my own theories, which I will not repeat here coz they're likely wrong. Oh well.

There's no such thing as heroes, just a bunch of ones and zeroes.

At last, the coloured version of Bear On a Bike. I did want to add some sort of background, but I guess this is as finished as it'll ever get... *sigh*

Illumination....and accusation...

Ooh, the timing couldn't be better for this drawing! Unfortunately, I'm not following the World Cup, because 1) I don't have cable, and 2) I hate watching sports. Umm, I actually always liked PLAYING football, even though I sucked at it and every other sport. Most artists are very un-athletic, aren't they?

There are so many things wrong with this picture (can you count them all?), but hey, it's in colour, it has some movement, and it's still better than most of the shit I've been drawing, and that's good enough for me right now.

If you read Drawn, you might've caught this awesome link they posted a while back - Gustavo Duarte's Blog, which is obviously what inspired this picture. As a result, Martin looks way too tall, again. He's supposed to be about...5'4", or thereabouts. D'oh. Better luck next time.

that's the way i like it I LIKE IT TOO MUCH

An assortment of evil demons and such for my comic. Maybe. They need a lot of work, because they don't look very terrifying, do they? These are from my new sketchbook, which would be volume 6 (at least since I started numbering them, which was in 2003). The cover loudly proclaims "Q" and then underneath that "Sketch Pad for Artists." What is it about the letter Q that is so goddamn hilarious? I guess I'm just way too easily amused...

I should really colour this. Oh, how I want to. Let's hope it gets done. Don't hold your breath waiting though.
